Picks 2-10

There is some good talent going in the to 10 of the NHL Draft

2. CHI - Artyom Levshunov, D, Michigan State

The Chicago Blackhawks select Artyom Levshunov as the second overall pick. One year after taking Connor Bedard, they add a pillar to their blue line.

3. ANA - Zeev Buium, D, Denver

With the third overall pick, the Anaheim Ducks select Zeev Buium. After trading Jamie Drysdale last season, they could use a young offensive defenseman in the system.

4. CBJ - Ivan Demidov, F, St. Petersburg

The Columbus Blue Jackets select Ivan Demidov with the fourth overall pick. Getting a player with this much skill is great for that organization going forward.

5. MTL - Cayden Lindstrom, F, Medicine Hat

Cayden Lindstrom is the fifth overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. The Montreal Canadiens need depth everywhere but adding a forward like this could help their top-six long term.

6. UTAH - Zayne Parekh, D, Saginaw

Utah is going to make its first-ever draft pick 6th overall this year. With that pick in this mock, they select RD Zayne Parekh. They need help on defense and this pick could do it for them.

7. OTT - Sam Dickinson, D London

Sam Dickinson is the selection at 7th overall for the Ottawa Senators. This franchise must start to turn a corner and Dickinson might be able to help them with that.

8. SEA - Anton Silayev, D, Torpedo

Anton Silayev is a big defenseman being drafted by the Seattle Kraken at 8th overall. He will eventually be a big part of their defense.

9. CGY - Tij Iginla, F, Kelowna

At pick number nine, the Calgary Flames make a pick that will make fans so happy. They select Tij Iginla who is the son of Hall of Famer and Flames great Jarome Iginla. Tij deserves to be drafted this high on his own. He is a great sniper and will make an impact at the NHL level.

10. NJD - Berkly Catton, F, Spokane

The New Jersey Devils round out the top ten by selecting Berkly Catton. They need another top forward like this in their sytem. His stats in the WHL were video game type numbers and New Jersey could use him on Jack Hughes or Nico Hischier's line in a few years.
