Shayne Gostisbehere would bring a lot to the Detroit Red Wings in 2024-25

A defenseman who has traveled a bit around the league, Shayne Gostisbehere signed a deal last off-season that was good for him and the team.

He has come into the Red Wings organization and earned that contract with his offensive play. Gostisbehere has been a great asset to the team, driving the power play to be a part of the team's offensive firepower last season.

He can control the play in the defensive zone and can join the rush at any given moment. He led the Detroit defense in scoring and should be brought back solely based on his puck-moving skills and his deadly production on the power play.

The Detroit Red Wings and Yzerman have a massive off-season to try and bring this team back to the playoffs. With many UFAs and RFAs on the roster, the organization has its work cut out for them.

However, these three players will not break the bank and be able to add more than scoring to the team. The core of the team is already there so now it is time to build around them and this would be a great start.
