Utah Hockey Club

The Utah hockey club is searching for a new identity after moving from Arizona and are looking for the first captain in franchise history. A player who can represent the new franchise and set a good example. There are plenty of good choices from the roster last season and one that could help the franchise get on the map quickly.

Clayton Keller

One of the best players not to be talked about, Clayton Keller has been offensively consistent since taking the NHL ice for the first time. Every season, Keller delivers and we know what to expect from him. While the team has had ups and downs over the past few seasons, Keller continues to shine on the ice and on the scoresheet. Would be a good representation of the newest NHL franchise.

Lawson Crouse

A player who does the dirty work, but is consistent in point production, Lawson Crouse would be a good choice for captain. While Keller is the offensive star, Crouse gets in the dirty areas to win battles and can fight on occasion. Crouse does everything well and continues to be a dominant big man on the ice. Going with Crouse as captain would not be a horrible choice as the teams first captain.

Mikhail Sergachev

Newly acquired defenseman Mikhail Sergachev is determined to prove himself in a new market after spending the last seven season in Tampa Bay, winning two Stanley Cups. A player who plays a physical style, he is always sticking up for his teammates, yet is sound in his zone. A player with experience in both the regular season and playoffs, he could be a voice on the locker room that takes charge, and be a player that younger players look up to. A darkhorse candidate, but one who would who would represent the team well.
