The NCAA National Championship is going to be a treat for hockey fans

The Frozen Four has now gotten through the semi-final stage of the tourney. It was two great games filled with a lot of skill, speed, and intensity. College hockey is continuing to get better and better as time goes on. 

The first game was between Boston University and Denver. This game became an instant classic when it went to overtime tied at one. Denver did a fantastic job of covering Macklin Celebrini and BU did a great job at making sure that the Pioneers don’t take advantage of that in regulation. 

Once you get to overtime, however, anything can happen with one crazy bounce. Denver ended up stunning the Terriers with a sweet overtime game-winner by Tristan Broz. They will continue their run through Minnesota in the National Championship! 

In the second game, Denver had to await the winner of Boston College and Michigan. That game was less close but there was a lot of great skill. Will Smith scored twice, Cutter Gauthier and Gabe Perreault each scored once, and BC took it 4-0. 

It wasn’t as thrilling as the first game by any means but watching this all-time great Boston College Eagles team was a thrill. They are one of the greatest college hockey teams ever. With Ryan Leonard along with the three goal scorers on BC, this group is insanely hard to beat. All of them will be stars in the NHL. 

The Frozen Four National Championship is an incredible matchup

Now, there is going to be a National Championship between Denver and Boston College. A lot of people were hoping to see BU vs BC but Denver more than deserves this opportunity with the way they’ve played this season and into the tourney. 

There is NHL talent all over each roster. Boston College is going to be hard for Denver to overcome. However, the Pioneers have proven the doubters wrong all year long. BC needs to be ready for their hardest opposition of the season. 

Denver already heard the Eagles once this season. It was a hard loss for BC to swallow as they were lower-ranked at the time. However, the run that Boston College has been on can’t be ignored. Each team is in a different spot now. 

There is no doubt that BC wants revenge but they want a ring more than anything. They could get it if they use all of that skill to do so. It doesn’t hurt to have Jacob Fowler either who might be the best goalie in college hockey. 

The Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota is the perfect place to crown the champion this year. If there was a spot to hand out the title after one of the greatest college hockey seasons of all time, it is the State of Hockey.
