Here’s one of Malkin’s most unique plays.

Often when a hockey player gets a breakaway, it’s the perfect opportunity for them to execute all the dekes and moves they’ve been working on in practice. That’s not the case for Malkin, however. Instead, Malkin decided to take a slapshot 20 feet in front of the goalie. Kind of like how a rookie NHL14 gamer does it.
