The Canucks retain 50% of both of the Sedin twins salary, putting them at the limit of three. But it’s worth it, because they get 2nd round picks for the next three years (or they get prospect Gabriel Carlsson, the Ducks 2015 1st rounder, if this trade was to be done after the draft), as well as two prospects in Nic Kerdiles and Stefan Noesen.
With Jamie McGinn and other rentals gone, the Ducks prepare for another cup run with the twins, who join former teammates Kevin Bieksa and Ryan Kesler.
The Wild not only need a shake up in the front, but need to prepare for when Mikko Koivu retires. Eventually, Chuck Fletcher will decide he can get a Dumba-esque player in the draft, and pulls the trigger on this blockbuster hockey trade. Do I even need to say why Edmonton needs Dumba?
If I were the Oilers I would go for PK Subban, but the Canadiens will not trade him. Yakupov needs a change of scenery, and will reunite with junior teammate Alex Galchenyuk. Dynamic duo? McCarron provides the Oilers size up front, while Greg Patyern looked good in a few games with the Canadiens last week.
The Bruins want a puck moving defensemen, and they get their man in Vatanen. But the price is high, so they have to send one of their 1st rounders (San Jose or theirs) and Khokhlachev to Cali if they want to get their hands on him.

This is also a sign and trade deal where the Lightning would sign Stamkos to a 8 year, $84M contract, and then ship him to Montreal, where he would reunite with childhood friend PK Subban. Jonathan Drouin also goes to his hometown team.
Alex Galchenyuk was going to be going the other way, but he will play with Nail Yakupov and can switch back to wing. But it takes the pressure of him. With the addition of Beaulieu, the Lighting can trade Matt Carle, and Pacioretty adds more offense. Hope you enjoyed!
