AHL Weekly Roundup: Boston Bruins Turn to Coach Bruce Cassidy, Milwaukee Admiral Frederick Gaudreau Named AHL Player of the Week, AHL Expansion News and More!

Welcome to the AHL weekly roundup. Here you’ll find the weekly headlines, matchups and standings for your favorite NHL affiliate teams. Catch up with the weekly happenings of the American Hockey League world.

There were a few good games on the AHL’s schedule for the last week. Some matchups stood out more than others. On Feb. 4, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (PIT) sunk the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (PHI) 7-1,  the Chicago Wolves (STL) topped the Rockford Ice Hogs (CHI) 3-2 in OT and the Hershey Bears (WSH) beat out the St.Johns IceCaps (MTL) 5-2.

On Tuesday, Feb. 7 the Providence Bruins (BOS) topped the Albany Devils (NJD) 4-1, the Toronto Marlies (TOR) topped the Utica Comets (VAN)  4-2 and the Cleveland Monsters (CBJ) beat the Milwaukee Admirals (NSH) 4-1.
