1. Matty Beniers shows up big

The Seattle Kraken needs a big showing from Matty Beniers in the playoffs.

As of right now, there is no doubt that Matty Beniers has had an outstanding season. He scored in the big win over the Arizona Coyotes that clinched the Kraken a playoff berth. The goal was his 23rd of the season. He also added his 33rd assist of the season.

Those 56 points of his lead all NHL rookies. He has a very good chance to win the Calder Trophy as the top first-year player in the league. There is no doubt that this kid has a bright future with Seattle, and this year will have played a big part in him reaching his true potential.

In order for the Kraken to make a few upsets in the playoffs, they need Beniers to be as good as he was in the regular season, if not better. It can be claimed that his style of play will be perfect for the kind of hockey that is played once the postseason begins. In that aspect, he is going to be fun to watch.

No matter what happens in the playoffs for Beniers, he is going to gain some valuable experience. He has played in some big games going back to his time in college, so he might be ready for this. Over the last handful of regular season games, he needs to make sure his game is ready.
