It's all Darryl Sittler's fault. Salming. Wendel. Gilmour. Cujo. Thanks to these Toronto Maple Leafs icons, along with many others, I fell into the maddening vortex that is Leafs fandom and haven't made it out of there. Many riveting moments following this team over time. Fast forward to the present tense and it's pretty compelling, the sum total of this current roster. But beyond that, I simply love the game of hockey and will watch other teams hoist the chalice, because the dream belongs to everyone. Baseball and tennis turn my head as well. And, the Toronto Raptors will find new ways to excel. A very, very interesting time it is. A very good time to write.
