‘s hold on the starter job in Carolina took a hit last season due to injuries and inconsistent play. Backup Anton Khudobin surprised many people by putting up good numbers in 36 games. The battle for this year’s starting position will be between these two. Khudobin is an underrated, reliable goalie, but Cam Ward is a question mark. Ward needs to step up if he wants to win the job because Carolina does not want to deal with an inconsistent starter. Watch out for newly-acquired
