In the first round, Buffalo had one pick and that was center Martin Necas, in the second round with their second choice we have them adding a defensive piece in Dylan Samberg.. D

109. The third of three second-round choices by Carolina, this pick was originally the Rangers but sent it over in the Eric Staal trade. Carolina has one of the deepest defensive cores in the NHL in terms of prospects. Now with one ready to make the jump to the club next year, why not fill that void with another in Markus Phillips..
