Blackhawks Looking to Strike Deal With Golden Knights
The Hawks are chatting the Golden Knights up in hopes that they might strike up a deal before the expansion draft comes around. Chicago is willing to use the pending expansion draft to their advantage in a reported two-way deal the Hawks are trying to pull off. Imagine, Trevor Van Riemsdyk selected by the Golden Knights in the expansion draft. But, the catch? The Knights would have to also take on the salary drumping of Marcus Kruger. New York Rangers Should Explore Options For Antti Raanta
The New York Rangers are at a high risk of losing their backup goaltender, Antti Raanta, to the Golden Knights in the coming expansion draft. Good goaltending can be hard to come by and the Golden Knights might find solace in the fact that Raanta is up and coming and posted some pretty good stats this seasn. Goalie Cam Talbot has been in Edmonton for two seasons now and despite a rocky start last season has quickly settled in to what his potential truly is. Talbot oozed of raw potential when he was with the New York Rangers and when he was headed to Edmonton the expectatios were high. Despite an adjustment period, Talbot entered this season as solid and proven goaltender.
