Sabres Waiting on Housley
When the Sabres ownership, or shall I say Jack Eichel got his coach and GM fired the actual ownership had to go find replacements asap. Now with the signing of Botterill as GM, they have to find a new coach, and a lot of the talk has surrounded Phil Housley. As for Phil, he’s 50/50 on the decision and the Sabres are now waiting on what he wants to do regarding the head coach position. (Fansided)

Could Kovalchuk Wind Up in Tampa?
Even though Ilya Kovalchuk cannot return to the NHL until July 1st, that hasn’t stopped people from speculating where he may end up. And one is how Kovalchuk wants to be in a sunny state that his family enjoys. Now with Tampa Bay needing help returning to the playoffs and making a cup run it’s possible he could end up there but the team already has a ton of players to sign and already has so much invested in just three guys. So if the Devils were to trade him to Tampa they could very well receive a nice package in return. (Pucks And Pitchforks)

In 419 games with Washington, Dmitri tallied up 300 points as well as a total career number of 596 in 811 games throughout Washington, Boston, Los Angeles, and Toronto. (Stars And Sticks)
Russell Could Return as an Oiler
It’s not a surprise to anyone that Kris Russell had an amazing season with the Oilers last year and loved reaching the Conference Finals. So what else isn’t surprising is the fact he will want to come back and according to some reports Russell and the Edmonton managing system have been in talks over a new deal, which hopefully they can get done before July 1st.
