David Kampf – Toronto Maple Leafs – Hawk from 2017-2021

The Toronto Maple Leafs are full of stars. Names like Matthews, Marner, and Tavares light the roster up and have made them one of the most electric teams this season. But there is one crucial player I forget to mention – that is right, newcomer David Kampf.

Kampf has two goals so far this postseason averaging 17:18 minutes of ice time a night. He no longer is that fourth-liner the Hawks had for four years as with Toronto he has become a tremendous third-line shut-down center capable of helping out offensively.

Kampf is still a big part of the penalty kill and is critical in pulling in faceoff wins every night, but with the Leafs he has truly shined a lot more. Role players like Kampf are huge in the postseason and it is a shame Chicago never got to utilize him as much otherwise he probably would be as popular as Marcus Kruger in Chicago.

The next player up on this list is actually the only one who won multiple championships with the Hawks.
