The Third Player: Dominik Kubalik

Out of all three of these players, Kubalik might not have the best return for the Hawks. But that is just because he currently does not have a contract for next season. Kubalik is a 26-year-old RFA who could be a great top-six forward on a good team.

A team like the Edmonton Oilers could look to sign him this offseason and maybe the Hawks could help make a deal worthwhile by taking back a bad contract on their roster. Of the players on their roster, the only moveable player is Zack Kassian who is signed for 3.2 million for another two seasons.

Chicago should at least test the water on a potential Kubalik trade because getting back a second-round pick or a couple of draft picks definitely is in the best interest of the rebuilding team.

Who do you think the Blackhawks will trade first this offseason?
