Rod Brind’Amour, Carolina Hurricanes

Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour has been consistent both as a player and head coach. As head coach of the Carolina Hurricanes, he has led one of the more consistent teams in the NHL.

Carolina is a hard-working team that has been at the top half of the standings since he took over on May 8, 2018, replacing Bill Peters. In fact, Brind’Amoour has not finished lower than fourth in any season as head coach.

As the 2020-21  Jack Adams Award winner, he has led the Hurricanes to a 24-6-6 record, good for first in the Metropolitan Division, and is another favorite to win the Jack Adams Award once again.

Carolina is more of a veteran group with an average age of 27.4 years of age. With going 10-0-1 in their last 11, Carolina and Brind’Amour are setting themselves up for another successful season.

Brind’Amour has been the head coach of only one team, the Carolina Hurricanes, and has a record of 197-92-34 for a .663 winning percentage.

Brind’Amour has been successful as a player and as a coach for Carolina. His coaching record speaks for itself, but he was also a player who achieved greatness while playing for Carolina as well.

He was the captain of the Hurricanes as they went on to win their only Stanley Cup in 2006. He was an assistant coach as well from 2011-2018.

Brind’Amour and his teams have a great work ethic. The Carolina Hurricanes, like their coach, have never quit and always go whistle to whistle. Hard work, speed, and determination are the things that Brind’Amour instills into this group on the ice, making them quite successful.
