It’s that time of the NHL season. That’s right, it’s NHL trade rumors season. The NHL trade deadline is coming up on Feb. 26. It’s hard to sort through rumors and completed deals this time of year.
Here at Puck Prose, we’ll keep you informed throughout the time leading up to the trade deadline. You can stay updated by checking out our Rumors page, but because we’re so darn generous and kind, we’ve got all you need to know right here.
There are three sections to this post. “Rumors” will be for reports of teams being linked to certain players. This will also cover extensions for pending free agents. “Unofficial deals” will take care of anything that is reported as done, but has yet to be confirmed by the teams involved. Only verified Twitter users will be listed. Finally, “official deals” will cover those deals that are done.

The New York Islanders have no interest in trading John Tavares.
Feb. 4
Tampa Bay Lightning linked to Ryan McDonagh.
Winnipeg Jets among teams interested in Nash.
The Arizona Coyotes are listening to offers for Max Domi.
Feb. 6
Vancouver Canucks defenseman Ben Hutton is attracting interest from several teams.
Feb. 9
It wouldn’t be a trade deadline season without Jeff Skinner having his name thrown around, would it?

Pittsburgh Penguins, San Jose Sharks among teams interested in Tomas Plekanec.
Feb. 12
The Ottawa Senators are open to trading Derick Brassard, but the cost to acquire him is high.
Rick Nash would accept a trade to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Evander Kane has at least eight to 10 teams interested in acquiring him.

Per a source, the #CBJ did indeed inquire about Artem Anisimov's availability, but only offered a third-round pick, and wanted the Blackhawks to retain half Anisimov's salary. Went nowhere. Anisimov was approached about waiving his NMC, though.
