NHL Daily: Doug Weight is Exactly What the Isles Need, the Future is Bright For the New Jersey Devils, the St. Louis Blues Have Signed Their Top Prospect and More! (Morning NHL Headlines)

There were nine games on the NHL’s schedule for Tuesday night. First, the Blue Jackets shut out the Devils 2-0, the Maple Leafs topped the Red Wings 3-2 and the Rangers topped the Panthers 5-2.

The Flyers beat the Sabres 6-3, the Blues topped the Wild 2-1 and the Islanders beat the Oilers 4-1.  Lastly, the Avalanche beat the Hurricanes 3-1, the Canadiens topped the Canucks 2-1 OT and the Ducks beat out the Predators 4-3 in a shootout.
