NHL Daily: Morning NHL Headlines

Boston May Deal First Round Pick
Well, it looks like the Bruins are open to wheeling and dealing when it comes to the draft. They are looking at moving their first round selection for some immediate help, and some believe it’s a top six winger. (Fansided)

Kings Interested in Kane?
It seems the Los Angeles Kings are looking for some additional scoring now that Marian Gaborik is getting up there in age, so who are they looking at exactly? Evander Kane. He can definitely bring the scoring the Kings need but they may have to give up a bit to get him. (Fansided)

Yak Worth a Shot in Florida?
One of FanSided’s branch sites, The Rat Trick which covers the Florida Panthers believes the team taking a run at Nail Yakupov may not be a bad thing. Since he’s coming off a very lousy season his price has dropped significantly. Next, he could play alongside Nick Bjugstad and Jon Marchessault which may be what he needs. (The Rat Trick)

Should the Leafs Bring Back an Old Defenseman?
Said defenseman has already stated to the media that he would love to join his old team, but will the Leafs be willing to bring back Cody Franson? He’s definitely not as good as he used to be and the price is always in question. It’s known the Leafs want defensive help but like they always say, patience is a virtue (Editor In Leaf)

Leafs Should Take a Run at A Few Guys
The first player the Leafs should target is Yannick Rathgeb, the 21-year-old defenseman stands at 6’1” and weighs 194 pounds. He doesn’t shy away from physical play and has an unbelievable shot. Next is goaltender Igor Bobkov, he’s 6’6” and 238 pounds, if the Leafs choose to use Bibeau or Sparks as a backup next season, he could definitely help the Marlies with his pro experience. Five Backup Options for the Leafs
If the Leafs choose not to keep Curtis they have five other options. Number one is Jonathan Bernier followed by Mike Condon than Anders Nilsson next would be Peter Budaj, and of course, Curtis if they wish to re-sign him. All five of these guys are perfect depth goalies that can play 15-20 games just fine. (Editor In Leaf)
